Israir brings the first tourists from Israel to Montenegro

The Montenegrin newspaper vijesti.me informs that the first guests from Israel will arrive in Montenegro, on Wednesday, April 20, on a direct flight with the help of Israeli tour operator Israir Airlines & Tourism.

The Ministry of Development and Tourism announced that in the period from April to October 2016 Israir would realize 49 flights to airports of Tivat and Podgorica, with the plane Airbus A300 capacity of 172 seats.



"According to the estimates, about 8.4 thousands of tourists will travel to Montenegro this way", – the statement said.

Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Israir Group, Gil Stav, said that the company is happy to announce that from the start of advertising campaign, in February this year, the Israeli public has shown great interest to travel packages to Budva and Becici, as well as organized trips around Montenegro.

"We are convinced that Israeli tourists with their arrival and stay in Montenegro, will contribute to the growth of the economy of Montenegro", – said Stav.

The Ministry reminded that marketing campaign of Israir Airlines & Tourism in Montenegro is realized through a variety of activities – published articles in leading daily media, websites specialized for tourism, as well as through many other activities including Facebook campaign.

"Montenegro is at IMTM, the leading trade fair in Israel held in February, presented as a new interesting destination for travel", – added the Ministry.

General Director of tourism development and the standards of the Ministry of Development and Tourism, Olivera Brajovic said that the Government department, according to the Tourism Development Strategy to 2020, supported all activities in order to reduce seasonality and increase the availability of Montenegro as a destination.

"The market of Israel is recognized as a very interesting and we are confident that Israir flights begin even better economic cooperation between two countries. We are pleased to welcome tourists from Israel, convinced that they will be satisfied with everything that Montenegro can offer and be happy to come again, and also suggest to their friends and family that we are the right destination for holidays", – concluded Brajovic.
